Privacy
Plain language, because you should not need a lawyer to understand what happens to your details. In short: we collect only what we need to detail your car, we do not sell it, and we never see your full card number.
When you book, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the address where the car will be, and details about the vehicle and the service you picked. If you message us on Instagram or by text, we keep that conversation so we can pick up where we left off.
We also take before-and-after photos of the vehicles we work on, for our own quality records and sometimes to show our work. We ask before publishing a photo that shows your driveway, your home, or your licence plate.
To confirm your booking, get to the right place at the right time, send you reminders and receipts, and follow up afterwards. If you have booked before, we may contact you when your car is due for its next detail. You can ask us to stop at any time and we will.
When you book, card details are collected to hold the slot. Those details go straight to our payment provider and are stored by them, not by us. We never see or keep your full card number. Nothing is charged at booking; you pay when the job is finished.
We use Kalenix to handle bookings and a payment provider to hold card details and process payment. Our website also uses the measurement providers named below, and a third-party widget displays Google reviews. We do not sell your booking or payment details. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
We keep booking and payment records as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes, which in Canada generally means six years. Marketing contact details are kept until you ask us to remove them.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can opt out of reminders and follow-ups without losing the ability to book. Just call (778) 800-2905 or message us and say so, and we will sort it out.
We use 3 measurement tools on this site. Google Analytics counts visits and tells us which pages people read, which buttons they press, and when a booking is submitted through Kalenix. Microsoft Clarity records anonymised page interactions so we can see where the site confuses people. Meta Pixel tells us whether someone who visited from Facebook or Instagram clicked a booking link. A click does not mean a booking was completed. They set cookies and collect this information in a form that may be associated with your browser or device. We use the reports to improve the website and understand which marketing leads to booking requests.
Clarity can replay how a visitor moved through a page. Text typed into form fields is masked before it reaches us, so we cannot read it. Anything you enter when booking is handled by our booking provider on their own site and is never part of these recordings.
You can block these with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker, and the site will work normally. The Google reviews shown on our pages are loaded by a third-party widget, and the booking button takes you to our booking provider, both of which have their own privacy terms.
Questions about any of this? Call (778) 800-2905 or use the contact page. We are based in Surrey, BC.
This policy is written to describe how Mint Mobile Auto Spa actually works. If how we operate changes, we update this page. It is a plain-language summary rather than legal advice; if you need a formally reviewed policy, have a lawyer check it.
We would rather explain something twice than have you wondering.
